Top Triangles (make 2):

CH 18

HDC into the 2nd chain from the hook.  1 HDC in each CH to end of chain. Then work 3HDC into the edge of the last ST. Mark the 2nd ST of the 3HDC. Then continue working along the opposite side now. Turn.

CH 1.  1 HDC into next ST and in each ST up to the marked 2nd ST from the group of 3HDC.  Place 3HDC into the marked ST and mark the 2nd ST, Continue HDC to the end.

*REP this process until you have reached your desired width to cover the breast. Once you are happy fasten off. Mine is a width of 6”

Piecing Together – You will be connecting the two triangles together. Make sure the middle tips of each triangle line up. This will keep your bralette straight when piecing the triangles together.

To attach the triangles together you will be using SC.  Start by placing two stitch markers 4 stitches below your middle stitch marker on both triangles, then take another two stitch markers and count up 3 stitches on both triangles and place your stitch markers there.  Now SL ST the two cups together by starting at the 4th ST below the middle ST, then SC thru each of the next 7 stitches across  the two cups  til you reach  the 3rd ST from the middle. Fasten off.

SL ST to the right top corner of your bralette

Row 1: CH 1. 1 SC in each ST til you reach the end of the row. Turn.

Row 2: CH 1. 1 SC in the next SC, SC2TOG, REP from * til the end of the row

Row 3: REP row 1. Fasten off.

BODY BAND- RS facing up.  SL ST to the right bottom corner of your bralette

Row 1: CH. 1. 1 HDC in each ST.  Turn

Row 2: REP Row 1. Fasten off. Just continue this row if you want more length to your bralette.

CREATING THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BAND–This is the band that will be going around your waist. Adjust it as needed.  RS facing up.  SL ST to the bottom right corner of your top.

Row 1- CH 1. 1 HDC in each ST til you have reached the middle of the triangle. Turn.

Row 2-5- REP row 1. Fasten off.

SL ST to the middle of your triangle on the left side.

Row 1- CH 1. 1 HDC in each ST til you reach the end of your top. Turn.

Row 2-5- REP row 1. Fasten off.

STRAPS + ADJUSTABLE TIE BACK- Using two different colors of worsted weight yarn together.

SL ST to the top corner of your top, CH. 225. Fasten off.  Attach both yarn to opposite corner and REP this process for the other strap.  This way the straps don’t need to go around your neck. You simply make a cross in the back and lace it up the band with them.

Thank you,

Heather XO
