Marshmallow Paws CROCHET PATTERN

Materials


1/4 Skein of Bernat Blanket yarn #6 Super Bulky Weight. Approx. 50 yards in total


A few yards of Lion Brand Go For Faux #7 weight yarn


10 mm Hook


Threading Needle


Scissor


Measuring Tape


Stitch Markers

                                                                                                                                            

Size- One size fits all


Abbreviations-

FSC- Foundation Single Crochet      

CH-Chain      

ST- Stitch      

 SL ST- Slip Stitch   

DC- Double Crochet

REP- Repeat     

ST- Stitch    



     

INSTRUCTIONS-   Make 2


Round 1: FSC 11. SL ST to the other side. Make sure not to twist the chain.  11 FSC

Round 2:  CH 2. (CH 2 doesn’t count as a ST) DC in each CH to end of chain. Join with SL ST. 11 DC

Round 3-9: CH 2. REP Round 2


Now before fastening off leave some yarn for weaving.

Go back and forth making the long tail into a drawing string.  Then push needle inside middle hole and flip mitten inside out.  Pull tight to close hole.  Go through one part of the hole to other part of hole.  Tie it make a few knots, so it doesn’t come loose.  Run through a few stitches and fasten off.


Making the Thumb


Left Thumb

Count up 4 rows from the bottom and over 2 DCs from the seam.  This is the DC you will attach your yarn to.

See picture below for placement. The Black arrow is where you will be attaching your yarn.  The blue arrow is the other DC you will be working in as well to create your thumb.

                                                   

Attach yarn.

Round 1: CH 2. (CH 2 doesn’t count as a ST) DC around same DC as CH 2, DC in space before your next DC, work 2 DC in the around next DC, DC in the next space. Join with a SL ST. (5 DC)

Round 2: CH 2, DC in each DC around. Join with a SL ST. (5 DC)


Now before fastening off leave some yarn for weaving.

Right Thumb

Repeat the same process as the left thumb just on the opposite side of the seam.


Fur Edging


Attach your Faux Fur to the bottom seam.

CH 1, SC in each ST around. Join with a SL ST. (11 SC)

Fasten off and weave in all ends.
